Arsenal Women FC produced a remarkable performance to defeat Bayern Munich 2-0 in the quarter-final second leg of the UEFA Women's Champions League, overturning a 1-0 deficit from the first leg to reach the semi-finals.
Lea Schüller had given Bayern the advantage in the first leg in Munich, but Arsenal were dominant throughout the second leg at the Emirates Stadium. Caitlin Foord scored a stunning equalizer in the 56th minute, before Frida Maanum sealed the victory with a brilliant goal in the 70th minute.
The Gunners were relentless in their attacking play, creating numerous chances throughout the match. Bayern, on the other hand, were wasteful in front of goal and failed to capitalize on their opportunities.
Arsenal's victory is a major upset, as Bayern were considered one of the favorites to win the competition. The Gunners, however, showed great resilience and determination to overcome the first-leg deficit and reach the last four.
Arsenal will now face either Lyon or Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals, while Bayern's hopes of winning their first Women's Champions League title are over.
