Insomniac Games has announced that its upcoming PS5-exclusive title Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will receive a Day One patch on launch day. According to the developer, the patch will improve the visual fidelity of the game's opening gameplay sequence and fix various issues. For those who purchase the physical release of the game, the Day One patch will be included on the disc.
The Day One patch is version 1001002 and is available now for download. Players who have already pre-ordered the game can download the patch in advance. The patch is mandatory for all players, regardless of whether they are playing the physical or digital version of the game. Insomniac Games has not yet released a full changelog for the Day One patch, but it is expected to include a number of fixes and improvements.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to be released on September 8, 2023. The game is a sequel to the critically acclaimed Marvel's Spider-Man, which was released in 2018.
