Frankfurt's Nkounkou expresses eternal gratitude to Real coach Ancelotti

Youngster hails former mentor for his role in his development

Nkounkou credits Ancelotti for his belief and support

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has earned the eternal gratitude of Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan N'Dicka for his role in the youngster's development during their time together at Bayern Munich.

Nkounkou, who joined Frankfurt from Bayern in 2020, has blossomed into a key player for the Bundesliga club, earning a call-up to the French national team. He credits Ancelotti for believing in him and giving him the opportunity to play at the highest level.

"I am eternally grateful to Carlo Ancelotti for what he did for me at Bayern Munich," Nkounkou said. "He believed in me when I was just a young player and gave me the chance to play in the first team. I learned so much from him, and I am the player I am today because of him."

Nkounkou made his Bundesliga debut under Ancelotti in 2017 and went on to make 10 appearances for the German giants. He also played in the Champions League and the DFB-Pokal under the Italian coach.

Ancelotti left Bayern in 2019, but Nkounkou says he still stays in touch with his former mentor.

"I still speak to Carlo regularly," Nkounkou said. "He is a great coach and a great person. I am so lucky to have had the chance to work with him."

Nkounkou's gratitude for Ancelotti is evident in his performances on the pitch. The 22-year-old has been one of Frankfurt's most consistent performers this season, helping the club reach the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Nkounkou's success is a testament to the impact that Ancelotti has had on his career. The Italian coach has a reputation for developing young players, and Nkounkou is just one of many players who have benefited from his guidance.
